*cracks whip* WIPetty WIPetty WIPetty #WIPpetWednesday

Good morning!! I’m back for a second week in a row. That’s like a record or something. I did finish NaNo on the 14th. And since my in-laws canceled Thanksgiving with us, I now have the opportunity to finish writing the book this month. 3.5 chapters and an epilogue left to go. w00t! then I get to start the wonderful editing process.

For this week’s snippet, I chose the scene pretty much directly after the last one. I’m trying not to give away too many hints, and that’s going to get hard to do real soon. Here are 16 sentences from chapter 2 of OBlique. Here’s my math. 2-1 = 1 and 5 +1 = 6. 1 and 6 makes 16 when put side by side. =P

“So at Logan’s this girl pretty much fainted in one of the aisles.”

“And you just happened to be there?” Sissy asked, flipping her silky hair over her shoulder.

Jaclyn had always been jealous of her looks. Where she was tiny and scrawny and could easily pass for a boy if she wanted to, Sissy was curvy and voluptuous in all the right places. “Yes, I just happened to be there buying my dinner. Anyway, Dale didn’t know what to do, so I had to intervene.”

“Ahh, playing the hero. And was this lass pretty?”

Jaclyn pursed her lips. Her cheeks reddened and her chest heated. Before she could respond in either the affirmative of the negative, Sissy was pushing at her shoulders.

“Oh my God, she was, wasn’t she?”

Jaclyn nodded.

“Come on, Tiny. Spill the details.”

“Ugh, you know I hate that.”

“Spill!”

Taking a deep breath, Jaclyn leaned back into the couch again as she flicked her tennis shoes off her feet and curled her legs under her body. “Nothing much. She said she got dizzy and tried to sit down. I think she sat down harder than she expected to.”

“And you did a medical exam?”

Jaclyn gave Sissy a short look. “Get your head out of the romance novel, Lenora. That’s not how it works in the real world.”
Sissy clicked her tongue and shook her head. “That’s how it happened with me and Dougie.”

“Dougie and me,” Jaclyn corrected.

“Shh. It can happen anyway.”

And that’s it folks! All are welcome to join in the WIPeteering fun. Just make a blog post with a snippet somehow related to the date and linkie up here. As for the rest of what’s going on in my world…

Yesterday I had an odd and interesting thing happen to me. While I was avoiding writing, because why else would I write, I was working on whatever I could find. That meant first edits for Lost & Forsaken so I could send to betas, copy-edits on my short Deathscape with has a potential release date of April 6th with Less Than Three Press, and then I did finally get to writing on this new thing OBlique and promoting my release for Grace through Redemption happening on Dec 1. Like…how many more books/stories can I add into that chaos in one day!?

That’s the odd that. Oh! And I finally got video of bumblebee kicking up a storm in my belly. It’s about time. Only took months to get a good enough video of it happening.

A break and some refocusing #ROW80

Well, I just got back from the SO’s graduation, and wow, it was busy busy busy. So needless to say, I got not much done. However, I wasn’t getting much done on my goals before that. I realize I need to reevaluate a bit and then hunker down and do some work.

A few things have happened since I maybe last posted. I don’t remember much. My book, Memoir in the Making, released with a week long release party on Facebook and a tour. And oh boy, talk about time consuming, way more than I thought it would be. I’ve also been gearing up for my next release on June 1, and that party. Not to mention, I asked to have a release date bumped from June 2016 to December 2015, meaning I don’t have anything written yet that will release in 2016.

Which is a scary thought for me. I’m a planner, and I usually always have these things done well before I need to have them be done, so yeah, freaking out slightly on this one.

Goal for this year is to write 2-3 more books so I can have some 2016 releases. I’m almost done with one book! yay! but that leaves at least one more than needs to be outlined and written. So much work to do!

For those who were following my goals, I’m redoing them a bit. I finished my May copy-edit and my second one bounced on me, meaning I don’t have a copy edit until mid-June now. *evil laugh* This also means I get to massively focus on my own work for the first time in something like 8 months. So here goes, new goals and how I shall achieve them.

1. Lost & Forsaken — write 1 chapter a day until complete (7 chapters to go)

2. Simple Biology — write 1 chapter a day until complete (26 chapters to go)

3. Outline that novella thing the paranormal romance that has no name so, MILFy thing 3

4. Edit Grace through Redemption — 1 chapter a day until caught up, then as they come in from betas

5. Edit Unbound — 2 chapters a day until completed (round 1), 2 chapters a day until completed (round 2)

There be my new goals through the rest of this round of ROW80. Here’s to hoping I get them all done!!

It’s Sunday!! #ROW80

Good morning! I only have about negative 5 minutes to write this before I have to run off to add day churchy stuff, but I’m here writing it.

Right now I’m juggling day job stuffs, release day for TWO things stuff, and maybe writing and editing stuffs but not really very well. If you missed my last blog post, I had two things release on the 1st. One is a full length novel, my first romance, and the second is a short story in an anthology.

My romance novel, Memoir in the Making, has been ranked in the top 35ish on Amazon since its release. w00t!! And I have a week long release party to go with it, and all I can say, is thank God for my PA Amber. I don’t know what I’d be doing without here right about now. Probably running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

So in light of that. I’ve been slacking a bit on my ROW80 goodness. BUT! I did finish Camp NaNo on the last day of Camp, but I finished with 51186 words in Lost & Forsaken. I started 15 days in, so I didn’t quite expect to actually finish on time.

1. Write 3k words a day on Lost & Forsaken until finished.

Wednesday: 2764
Thursday: 3749
Friday: 0
Saturday: 0

2. Edit 2 chapters a day on Her Run for Rachael

3. Edit 2 chapters a day on shorts for Kaden

DONE! I finished this on Thursday and sent them back to her. I started in on my next copy edit, “Emily: Stepping Stones #1” by Jasmine Lee. Goal is 2 chapters a day until I finish and to finish before I have to drive down to Texas. I edited Friday but not Saturday, and I’m not sure if I’ll have time to do it today.

4. Edit 1 chapter a day on Unbound: Book One of Quarter Life which is my own thing that’s supposed to be coming out in Oct.

I haven’t done this at all. Hopefully soon!

Or better yet! Come join in the awesome fun at the week long release party with tons of amazing romance authors joining in. That’s over here.

Release Day!! #newrelease #lesbian #anthology #romancenovel @supposedcrimes

I can’t believe today is finally here! I’ve been building up for this since like the beginning of January, not joking. Today is release day, for a novel I’ve been waiting to share with everyone and for an anthology with a story I am ridiculously proud of. Here’s the how and the why of what I think is some of my best work.

To start — the anthology

Young Love, Oldoldloveyoungheartsfinal Hearts might have been a bit of my idea. I threw it out there for my publisher, and she loved it, so she made that the topic for one of her anthologies she’s doing this year. Then I had to write something. I don’t know if you know how hard it is to write a short story when you’re used to writing novels, but it’s damn hard. There’s a severe limitation in what can happen because of the lack of length.

A Blizzard’s Blow started as a simple romance, moving from one partner to another partner because it was just time to do that, finding love in an unexpected place and time, and going with the flow. That is not what it turned into. Most of you may know that, knowing me and my writing, I don’t really write straight (haha) romances.

So there’s a twist, one that was completely unexpected for me when I was writing it, and it seriously was on my mind for weeks afterward. It feels as though I hit the nail on the head with this one. Enough intrigue, enough foreshadowing, enough plot and character development. I’m absolutely in love with this short story. So check it out!

Description:

Everyone hears “He’s too young for you.” “She’s too old for you.” Not between these pages. This anthology crosses the age gap with nine enchanting stories of cross-generational relationships. Some are sweet, some are sexy, some are heartbreaking. One is downright murderous. The protagonists are gay men and women searching for true love or trying out what’s right in front of them.

Now — to the novel!

Memoir in the Making started as a rebellion for me. I got really tired of reviewers telling me there was no romance in my novels. Most of the time, I didn’t intend there tMemoir04sampleo be romance, so I guess it’s a compliment in that I accomplished what I set out to do. However, when people read the word “lesbian” or “F/F fiction” they ASSUME there’s romance in the story. I personally don’t think every novel has to be a romance novel, and I prefer a lot of plot in what I read.

Anyway, so I decided to write a pure romance novel to kind of say FU to those reviewers who said I don’t write romance. Writing a romance novel has always been on my mind, and I’ve started many throughout the years I’ve been writing. I don’t usually get beyond the first chapter because I, as the author, get bored. And if I, as the author, get bored, I have no doubt my readers will be bored.

But it was so different with Ainsley and Meredith. I wrote the first thousand words before bed one night in an utter rage and about fifteen minutes. Then I tried to go to bed and couldn’t get them out of my damn head! I came back the next day and decided, Okay, I’ll write this thing, and I’ll make it a short novella, 20k words max, and then I’ll submit it somewhere that accepts those. That was the plan. Then I started outlining, as I do. And the outline grew bigger and longer, and there were plot twists and character development and history and some damn awesome side characters.

I head desked it. Multiple times. Finally gave up trying to keep it at 20k words and let the novel flow as it needed to flow. Then I started writing. This was my November NaNoWriMo project even though I was supposed to be writing on Grace through Redemption. I wrote this novel in thirteen days. It flew out of me unexpectedly for sure.

Welcome to Memoir in the Making.

Description

The first day of her junior year in college was supposed to go off without a hitch. But when Ainsley Jacobs sat in her memoir class with a professor she’d never had before, her life took an unexpected turn. She couldn’t get her well-dressed professor, Meredith Frenz, out of her head.

Meredith had lived a lonely yet comfortable life for the past fifteen years, and despite flings here and there, she had no desire to jump head first into a relationship, especially one with her student. Despite all her thwarted efforts, Meredith was determined to keep to herself and push Ainsley away.

Forbidden love is often the most attractive.

A Lenten Fast #blogging #life #writing #newreleases #editing

Well, it has been a long time since I’ve been on this blog. I unintentionally gave up blogging for Lent it seems. Go figure. I ran into one of the busiest few months of my life, even busier than wedding planning and moving across country and starting a new job. I’m not sure I thought that was possible. But yesterday was Easter, and that means fasting — whether intentionally or not — is over. So I’m back.

It’s a bright and beautiful Monday morning. Typically that means on my blog that I get to talk about Broken Taboos. But I think I’m just going to take today to catch you all up on what I’ve been doing. Which hasn’t been much in the writing world, I’m afraid.

I haven’t really truly written since January, although there have been a few moments of quick writing here and there. I did start a sci fi short story about this very interesting character. It’s written in first person POV, which is not my norm at all, but I wanted to experiment a bit and what better way to do that than in a short story? It’s been loads of fun, but I do need to finish it. Cheska agreed to help out this scientist while they try to discover patterns and more information about geomagnetic storms in space. So yeah, pretty cool. I’m hoping it’ll be accepted for an anthology.

I’ve been doing a lot of copy-editing since January. I don’t know why, but the copy-editing side of my life has boomed. I’ve had about two pieces a month to edit, which while I love copy-editing, it means I don’t write as much. I do believe that once the SO gets a “real” job, meaning one that pays more than half of what I make a month, then I’ll drop the copy-editing down to minimal so I can focus on writing some more.

Other than that!! Life is amazing! Books are amazing!

I’ve got three releases coming up between May 1 and June 1. Which includes parties and so much more! I’m finally getting around to you know, answering emails and such, and setting up some promo. Now that I can focus on stuff not day job related for awhile.

So…since I’m on the promo kick! I’ll put it out there.

I have a HUGE, and I mean HUGE, release party for Memoir in the Making happening May 1-8. I’m looking for a ton of people to takeover the event. I’m also looking for donations if that’s more your thing. Memoir in the Making is a romance, so if you’re intro writing romancey things, this one might be good to join in on. Here’s the link to the sign up.

Since I’m releasing Fallen from Grace (Spirit of Grace #2) June 1 (see? I told you–so many releases). I’m looking for people to read and review For by Grace to try and up my reviews on Amazon. There are multiple reasons for this, which if I do get enough reviews, I’ll share in a blog post later. The sign up sheet or rather, information collecting sheet, is right here for this one.

My third release for this insanity is a short story in an anthology. Young Love, Old Hearts. It’s a May-December, Old-Young anthology. This is probably my favorite short story I’ve every written. It just feels like I hit the nail on the head with it, and that happens so rarely. I get bubbly every time I think about this short.

Anyway! Enough of the business side of things.

At home!!! We got a new puppy! Well puppy is my term for her. She’s a seven year old chocolate lab mix, she’s adorable, she knows how to roll over and spin in circles, and she listens, and is snuggly. She loves my pittie! They get along fantastically, and I really couldn’t have asked for more in a dog (well, maybe better breath). So I think that completes our furfamily. Two dogs and two cats is plenty!

The SO is graduating with a BA in May! I’m so excited and proud. Can’t wait to see the SO walk with cap and gown. It’s been a long time coming. That also means the SO has to start looking for a career rather than just a job to pay the bills. Which I’m sure the SO is uber happy about. =P

On another note, I’ve been crocheting scarves a lot lately. I’m waiting to see if the idea I have in store will come to fruition, but I’m thinking an author and fan charity donation of knitted and crocheted scarves to one particular group (yes, I’m being a bit vague on purpose). What I noticed, aside from all of us authors having furbabies), is that a lot of us love to crochet or knit. No idea why, but it’s something pretty common among the community. I figure fans are also the same way since reading and crocheting/knitting seem to go hand in hand. The donations would go to women who are leaving domestic abuse situations. Which is something I’m very passionate about.

It’s something I’ve tried to bring to light a few times in my Spirit of Grace series and in my personal life. There is a second organization that would before foster care kids who are in college, which is also something I’m passionate about bringing awareness to. But…this one is still in the works, but if you’re interested, let me know!

Wow! This turned out to be a long post!! Love you all! Missed you! Can’t wait for WIPpet Wednesday!

One month and ten days #WIPpetWednesday

Hey all! It’s been awhile since I’ve joined up. Basically a month. And boy did I need it. I haven’t posted on my blog in a month at all, and I needed the break. I was posting almost every single day for something, and trust me, while it’s fun, it’s hard to keep up with that. I’m planning on slowly easing back into it. But for now, I have quite a few announcements to make. A lot can happen in a month.

I had a short story accepted into an anthology. A Blizzard’s Blow, featuring Lollie and Andrea, will be included in the Young Love, Old Hearts anthology put on by Supposed Crimes, LLC. I’m really excited. I absolutely love this short story. A. M. Leibowitz, fellow WIPpeteer and friend, also had a short story accepted into the anthology! w00t! So if you want a review copy, let me know. It releases May 1.

I got my cover in for Memoir in the Making earlier this week. Eeeek! so I shall share it with you all. This one also releases May 1.

Memoir04sampleMemoir in the Making is my first romance novel, like pure romance, no weird creatures or random dying (okay only maybe a little random dying). I’m nervous and excited about it coming out. So, if you want a review copy of it, let me know.

Here’s the blurb:

Forbidden love is often the most attractive.

Anyway…I also have a release on June 1, of Fallen from Grace (Spirit of Grace #2) because YAY! MORE GRACE! Grace through Redemption is currently with beta’s, meaning it’ll hopefully be out late this year or early next year.

I’m writing up short stories to go along with For by Grace. 5 in each bundle and 3 bundles. It’s an interesting experiment for me. I never thought I was very good at short stories and this is kind of proving that. Anyway. I have the first ones already out, the second ones are due on March 22 (and I haven’t even started yet, fast forward to today’s WIPpet), and the third bundle are due the first of May. I might be a bit insane by the time June is over.

I also just got edits back for Quarter Life: Unbound. My vampirey one? Yeah. I’m excited. I have a lot of revising to do, but it gets to see the like of day in October. Faye needs it. lol.

This leads me to WIPpet Wednesday. WIPpet Wednesday is where a bunch of us authorly types gets together, post something from our WIP (Work In Progress) for the rest of the world to see and then we cross pollinate and comment on everything. Each WIPpet has something to do with the date. Although, there is one exception to this rule. If you started something. Which I did, just a few minutes ago.

So you get the first 4 paragraphs of an Amya short story titled “Consult” which is in the second bundle of Amya’s Take-Out called Dignity Lost. P.S. I am never forcing myself to name this many things in one series again. Chapter numbers are fine from here on out.

Amya sat in her office and twiddled her thumbs. It had been an unending line of officers through her door for the past week and the silence was strong, chaotic and exactly what she needed. She lifted her hand and rubbed at the tension in the center of her chest, willing it to go away. Even Reyes being shot hadn’t been this bad. Davidson—that was a completely different story.

It may have easily been her hardest week at work ever, and not because of the topic at hand, but because of the time it took her to do it. It was as if the week suddenly spouted a whole extra hundred hours and she didn’t know where to put them or what to do with them. Sighing and rubbing her eyes, Amya listened to the happenings of her office.

Her secretary was out in the center office working on something. The click, click, click of her ridiculously long acrylic nails against the keyboard were enough to make Amya want to shut the door. Drawing in a deep breath, holding it in her chest, and letting it out slowly, Amya centered herself. She needed to be focused on God, on the next officer who walked through her door and the next moment when she had to once again hear how Davidson’s brains were blasted all over the ceiling of his cruiser.

She shook the image from her mind’s eye and swallowed hard. She’d seen it. Many of the other officers hadn’t. It was just a story passed along like the game telephone and each time someone new told it the story was more garbled, bloodier and worse than before. Amya knew they’d all be affected, but this obsession with the details of Davidson’s death were too much for her to bear.

And there you have it folks. If you’d like to join in WIPpet Wednesday, feel free. We’re open to all! Just make your post and head on over here to link it up to the rest of them.

A romance and a request … #WIPpetWednesday & #ROW80

As most of you know by this point, I am writing a romance novel, and I’m hoping to finish the writing of it today. Because GUEST WHAT!? I finished NaNoWriMo on Monday! w00t! w00t! anyway…I’ve come to a dilemma in this. I usually use one person for beta reading, but well, I’m overtaxing her. My apologies, you know who you are, and so I’m looking for a few new beta’s to give my regular beta a break. I need some peeps who want to read a lesbian romance novel who are okay with a May-December age gap (if you don’t know what that means, it means there’s 31 years between my characters).

If you’re interested in being a beta, please find me on facebook and message me, or send me an email with “beta for MILF” in the subject line (singing2cats@gmail.com). I really need at least 1-2 people who are good and decently quick about it. So please, oh please, help a girl out. Thanks!

I’ll do ROW80 update first.

1. Write 1667 words a day.

Sunday: 6188
Monday: 6843
Tuesday: 7613

2. keep up with all blog posts ROW80, WIPpet, Open When and add in 1 extra post a week

All blog posts have gone up so far this week. I do need to come up with one extra post for this week, but I have a store of topics somewhere on my computer.

3. Edit at least one chapter a week on something.

Did 50 pages on the copy-edit for Mara White last night (plan on doing 50 pgs a day until done)
Did 1 chapter copy-edit for S. K. Hart last night (plan on doing 1 chap a day until done)
Did 1 chapter for PTB last night…will do more when they send me more (thought I’d add this since it was in the other ones)

I’m expecting a new copy edit at the end of this week, so I really need to finish one of the two I already have. *has a lot of work to do in November*

4. crochet one round of border a week

I didn’t do this yet, but thank you so much for yelling at me! Definitely going to try and get it done this week. Maybe now that NaNo is done…=P

Now for WIPpet Wednesday!

It’s hard for me to decide which snippets to give since this really is supposed to be a “super secret” novel, when it’s really not. Everyone knows it’s a lesbian romance by this point, and I’ve given out a few snippets already. I did decide what to name it this week, which I’m exited about. I can stop calling it “the MILFy thing”.

The title, you ask? Why sure, I’ll tell you. The title is…… Memoir in the Making

Which will make sense if you read the book. It’s not a memoir novel at all, thankfully. No one wants to see what goes on in my head.  So here we go. WIPpet Wednesday is where writers share snippets of their writings with a whole bunch of other writers and then we go comment on them! w00t! The only hardfast rule is that your post must in some way relate to the date.

So for this week, I give you 15 sentences from ch 12. the 15 comes from (14 + 1) x 1… the 12 comes from the day.

This probably my favorite scene thus far in the whole novel. No joke.

Ainsley grabbed her jacket from the hook and swung it over her shoulders and arms. She buttoned it up and was just about to tie it, but Meredith stuck her hand out and stopped her. Instead of saying something or letting go like she intended, Meredith kept her hand on Ainsley’s. She rubbed her thumb against the back of Ainsley’s hand, reveling in how soft her skin was.

Everything slowed down. Meredith felt her chest rise and fall with each breath and heard Ainsley’s in response. Her heart thrummed along in her chest, and she licked her lips as they were suddenly dry. Meredith finally raised her gaze and looked at Ainsley, a blush on Ainsley’s cheeks.

“I could get fired for this, you know.”

“I know.”

Meredith’s breathing quickened. She wasn’t quite sure what to say anymore. Words had escaped her for the first time in her long life, and she was at a loss. Ainsley reached up, cupping Meredith’s chin and forcing their faces closer.

“I don’t care,” Meredith murmured before their lips pressed together.

And there you have it folks. If you want to join in, feel free. This is open to all. Just type up your blog post, and link it here.

Remember, if you want to beta read this novel, please oh please let me know. Thanks!

Decisions…decisions #ROW80 & #WIPpetWednesday

I’m struggling with decisions today. I don’t know which WIPpet to share with you all. I have two going right now in the writing life, and two going right now in the editing life. And my NaNoWriMo project is supposed to be super secret, so I’m not sure I want to share from it. While I struggle, even longer with this decision since it’s something I’ve been thinking about since YESTERDAY, let me do my ROW80 update.

1. Write 1667 words a day.

So accomplising this…

Sunday: 0 (I had a planned 12 hour work day, and it was Sunday so I chose not to write on it, since then every day has been a 12 hour work day this week, but I’ve managed to get writing in before heading off to the world of never ending tasks).
Monday: 3096
Tuesday: 6110

2. keep up with all blog posts ROW80, WIPpet, Open When and add in 1 extra post a week

So far this week is great! Made up for what I forgot last week, and I’m still on time will all these. Only thing left this week is my Open When post on Saturday, which I’m hoping I won’t forget, but I’m presiding at a funeral that day, so we’ll see.

3. Edit at least one chapter a week on something.

I have two copy-edits going right now and one beta read on stuff that isn’t mine. So I did 50 pgs on copy-edit on Monday (which is about 3 chapters), and one chapter for beta reading this week. I started a chapter of my own edits! But didn’t quite finish them. Also, my publisher just sent back edits on my novel Fallen from Grace, so … I get to start that wonderful journey soon, although I think I’m going to wait until December for that.

4. crochet one round of border a week

Have no done this–someone kick my ass about it please!

***

Now onto WIPpet Wednesday, so that means I really need to decide. I guess I’ll share with you all a bit about my NaNo project, since I changed it about two days before NaNo started. I had been planning on writing Grace through Redemption, but just wasn’t feeling it, and it isn’t scheduled for release until like June 2016, so it’s not like I don’t have plenty of time to write it.

I got pissed off. That’s how this project started. I got pissed off with multiple reviewers saying “We realize this isn’t a romance novel but we wanted more romance.” Which in and of itself makes NO sense to me, but whatever. Multiple said it, in a row, and it pissed me off. If it’s not a romance novel, why expect exuberant amounts of romance. Yes, there is romance in it, but it’s nowhere near the main plot and isn’t anywhere close to a focus.

Anyway…I already ranted about it. You can find that post here. So…my super secret NaNo project, you ask? What the hell does it have to do with this rant? It’s a pure/traditional romance novel. I’ve tried to write these in the past, I’ve tried to write romance and have never succeeded in even getting beyond the first chapter. I just got bored with it. For some odd and random and totally unknown to me reason, this novel stuck. I don’t expect it to happen again, and I’m not even sure I’ll publish it. But I’m writing it. And it’s going to be about twice as long as I originally wanted it to be, which means it fit for NaNo. And since I had managed to outline the whole thing in a few hours and couldn’t even manage one chapter of outlining on Grace through Redemption, this became my NaNo novel.

It’s yet unnamed, but I call it the MILFy thing. If it gives you ANY context about what this novel is about. Since it is what I am writing, I supposed I will share a short excerpt from it.

Ummm…not context with this, since it’s still super secret. But it’s two best friends. (PS Sam is a boy just to clarify). 10 sentences from chapter 4. Math is this 5 (1 + 1) = 10 the chapter for, since I can do this easily, is from “14” for the year. By the way, totally just figured out how to make this math more complicated. 11 – 1 = 10 OR 5 x 4 = 20 / 2 = 10 x 1 x 1 x 1 = 10

The phone was pressed to her ear as soon as she was a block away from Ainsley’s house. It rang twice before a groggy voice picked up.

“Hello?”

“Sam! I need tea. Let’s get tea. I really need some tea.”

“Mer? It’s—shit, it’s late.”

“Yes. Can you get tea?”

He groaned into the phone, and she took a left toward their regular coffee stop in anticipation of his attendance. She was about three blocks away when she realized Sam hadn’t said anything for a few minutes.

“Sam? Tea?”

“Yeah, yeah. I’m coming.”

“I would hope not,” she teased.

“Har har,” he answered.

And there you have it. A part of my super secret NaNoWriMo novel. If you would like to join in WIPpet Wednesday, we would love to see you! Write up a blog post about your current WIP (Work In Progress) and somehow correlate the excerpt to the date. The post it on your blog, and head on over here to link it up with all the others. Stop by and comment on some people’s posts and they’ll most likely return the favor!
